Wedding Story - Part IV
Day3 - Monday , Aug29
Now the 'chekkan' announced that he will do a walk-out from the mandap
if he doesnt get a juba and mundu.. Off we went to the metro in search of
juba. No shop in the metro has silk juba !
Bought shirts for cousins and returned..
Also bought mundu shirt for ammaavanmaar..
The major achievement of the day was that we bought thaali on that day.

Day5 - Tuesday, Aug30
To speed up things, arranged a taxi for the day - Lakshmanettan came
with his amby. Me, bro and chetttan left for kannur to get mundu and juba.
On the way, paid a visit to the furniture shop where we had ordered for
the kitchen accessories. He said , "ellaam ready-aa..", innu polishing,
naale fitting. Dad said "Aahaa.. Ennaal item onnu kaanattey.."
He "naale vykittu fit cheyyunnathaayirikkum". Dad "Njangal kandittangu
poyekkaam.. Ningal naale fit cheythaa mathi"
He took us to the work area.. There lies a few wooden pieces, nailed
together to form a rectangular frame. Thats it.
:-)
Anyway, we took his word that he will fit it the next day
(He did fit it, but a day later than he promised)
Reached kannur town. Cousin Dileeshettan came to help us out with
shopping. He knows the nook and corner of the town.
Got the mundu and jubaa.. That made my bro relieved..
Lunch at Ah! restaurant (Ah stands for Asian Heritage - that is the name
of the building which houses the hotel..)
On the way back, visited a few relatives, at their houses. Back home at 7PM
Cousins, me and bro left for shirt-pant shopping.
Me booked tix for frenz. Booked 5.
Got dresses for all of us..
