Ha ha - nice catch :-)
However, when we say 100% literacy, all we mean is that the person is capable of reading his name - in Mallu - nothing more, nothing less :)
Not even that, Dipu... If you are adept at holding a pen between your thumb and index, and draw some modern art, and proclaim it as your signature, you are classified literate !
